Fairfax, VA—AFCEA International has announced that the Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium originally scheduled for May 5-7 will now take place June 16-18 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The association postponed the event to ensure the safety of symposium participants and to alleviate additional stress on the city’s resources.
According to Lt. Gen. Bob Wood, USA (Ret.), executive vice president, AFCEA, the speaker, exhibit, and educational elements of the symposium will remain the same as planned wherever possible. “The association is working closely with our mission partners—including industry, the government and the military services—to provide the rich content, meaningful dialog, and active networking always found at AFCEA events,” Gen. Wood says. “Despite the date change, our government and industry partners remain strongly supportive of this event. We are happy we successfully rescheduled it to be in Baltimore, and we are glad we can continue working with the City and the Convention Center team. AFCEA looks forward to a very successful event.”
AFCEA is in the process of contacting event participants, attendees and exhibitors. Additional information will be posted on the Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium website as it becomes available.
AFCEA International, established in 1946, is a nonprofit membership organization. The association provides forums for the ethical exchange of information and is dedicated to increasing knowledge through the exploration of issues relevant to its members.
